Welcome to Duhallow Old Photos

My name is Denis OMahony and I’m the designer of Duhallow Old Photos, I was born in Kanturk and spent most of my younger life growing up and exploring the Duhallow Region of North Cork. Served my apprenticeship in North Cork Co-Op Creameries at the age of 16, when finished 5 years later I moved on to work for a German company to broaden my engineering skills. I moved back home in 1979 to work for Cadbury’s in Rathmore as an industrial fitter for over 30 years. I advanced to management as a Maintenance Planning Manager and retired in 2016. I had started designing and hosting websites in my spare time which began in 1998. The site is one of my retirement projects to display some of the old photos and video’s gathered by my late father Seamus OMahony. We all have great pride in our own locality and I think it would be great to upload any old images we have collected over the years and display them for the older people still alive that could name a lot of un-identified people in these video’s.
